My name is Cadee Grieff, I am 22 years old and from the small town of South Wilmington, Illinois. Best described as a girly girl, I love makeup, fashion, anything to make me look glamorous, would never miss an opportunity to dress up! I would also be described as a tiny girl. I weigh about 109 pounds. I say this as being small does not always mean you feel great about yourself, it is something I have had to work hard to appreciate. It gets old hearing people tell you how tiny you are, or that you need to eat more. There was a time I struggled with this quite badly, and when I heard comments like this it would truly hurt my feelings. I would compare myself to the beauty standards that I was lacking in because I am small. Overtime, I’ve gotten much better about this and I truly am happy with my weight and how I look. I’m not saying sometimes I don’t struggle, but looking at this in more of a positive light has helped extremely. I think my body is beautiful the way it is. I stopped comparing myself to the “ what ifs” and really realized that everyone is perfect in our own way. If we were all the same, it would be boring. That being said, I am a huge advocate for body positivity. You only get one body so you should love it like it deserves to be loved.
We asked Cadee a few questions to get to know her better:
What is your favorite color? Why?
Pink. I’m not really sure why, it’s been my favorite since I was a little girl. I’m a girly girl and I have just always thought it was the best color. It’s so pretty!
What bands are you listening to today?
Harry Styles, SZA, Ariana Grande, Morgan Wallen, Mariah Carey, Thomas Rhett, this list could just continue forever because I love music.
How would your best friends describe you?
They would describe me as an amazing person to lean on, a girly-girl, funny, and someone with a big heart who truly cares for others.
Which books, shows, movies, etc. that you really like and think others should read/see?
Watch Ugly Betty. It’s an older show but it’s one of my favorite series I’ve ever watched. I love it because it shows you beauty truly comes from within.
What would you say were the most important moments of your life so far?
I feel like I could name so many. A huge one for me was getting my first full time job after graduating college. I felt like I truly made it and I was so proud of myself. Graduating from Joliet Junior College was also an important moment in my life, it was during the time of covid so knowing I pushed through my online school work during such a hard time made me so proud.
Are there any celebrities that people say you look like?
My bestfriends answered this question with, Monica from friends, and Winona Ryder. I have also gotten that I look like the famous Tiktoker, Kat Stickler.
If you could change the world, what would you do?
I would want everyone to have more goodness in their heart. I feel like our world has so much hurt and fear nowadays, that more love would be so nice.
If you had one super power, what would it be and why?
I would want to be able to fly. You would probably be able to get to places so much faster. Save some gas money.
